    Frequently Asked Questions

What if I don't have complete utility data?

We work with incomplete data and help you fill the gaps. We can coordinate with utilities to retrieve historical records and work with whatever data you have available. If your bills are already in MeterID's UBM platform, benchmarking becomes significantly easier since the data is already organized and validated.

How long does the process take?

Timeline depends on your data readiness. Customers with clean, formatted digital data — especially those already managing bills in MeterID's UBM platform — will have a faster, more cost-effective process. Customers with paper bills or incomplete records require more processing time and effort. We provide regular updates throughout.

    Do you handle multiple jurisdictions?

Yes. We manage compliance across all major U.S. cities with energy benchmarking and emissions requirements. Reach out to discuss your specific jurisdictions and we'll scope a plan.

What if I miss a deadline?

We provide deadline management and reminders, plus we can help with late submissions and penalty mitigation strategies. Contact us to discuss your compliance calendar.

Can you help with reduction strategies, not just reporting?

Absolutely. Beyond reporting, we provide performance tracking, improvement recommendations, and can connect you with energy efficiency partners. This is a consultative engagement — reach out to discuss what makes sense for your portfolio.
